Souvenirs invite memories to surface and moments to linger.
Due to a need for capturing and curating and sharing the happenings and creations in the Roanoke metro area, I am proud to announce the rebrand of 16 Blocks Magazine, Blacksburg Arts and Culture as Roanoke Souvenir Magazine. A name that reflects a new home and mission towards the stories we aim to preserve: with the moments, places, and culture worth keeping.
16blocks.org will remain our digital home for audio, video, animated works, and larger collections with an an effort to be Real-Time Archivists. Keeping the notion that the best city neighborhoods throughout history have been roughly 16 Blocks in size, cultural movements based by walking distance .
Roanoke Souvenir will also be a full-color and glossy print magazine, with each edition constructed to be evergreen, and to serve as a physical keepsake, memento, a token of remembrance, and a pleasant reminder of the art and artists of Roanoke and the region.
Souvenir will also serve as the new masthead across our social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, unifying our voice and vision across channels.

This rebrand marks an evolution, not an ending—an expanded vision grounded in the same commitment to thoughtful, place-based and timeless creative work.
