Souvenirs invite memories to surface and moments to linger.
Due to an overwhelming amount of support and encouragement we have received over the last year, and the cosmopolitan renaissance underway in the Roanoke metro area, I am proud to announce the rebrand of 16 Blocks Magazine as Roanoke Souvenir Magazine. A name that better reflects who we are today and the stories we aim to preserve: moments, places, and culture worth keeping.
Souvenirs invite memories to surface and moments to linger.
Roanoke Souvenir will be a full-color and glossy print magazine, with each edition constructed to be evergreen, and to serve as a physical keepsake, memento, a token of remembrance, and a pleasant reminder of the art and artists of Roanoke and the region.
Souvenir will also serve as the new masthead across our social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, unifying our voice and vision across channels.
Online, Roanoke Souvenir dot com will become our digital home for audio, video, animated works, and larger collections not available in print—expanding how stories are told and preserved.
16Blocks.org will remain active as an archive of past work and continue to produce public art as well as a home for Blacksburg and New River Valley based coverage.
This rebrand marks an evolution, not an ending—an expanded vision grounded in the same commitment to thoughtful, place-based and timeless creative work.
Same spirit, expanded vision.
