Our first coverage of a local Council election and recount in Blacksburg this time last year was the beginning of our POLITIC LOCAL section and with an ongoing investigation into Election Fraud, has turned out to be not a good look for the local electoral process in the Town.

Excellent reporting from Ralph Berrier Jr. and Henri Gendreau in the Roanoke Rambler. Three Mayoral Candidate Race, 40,000+ voters in City of Roanoke, Virginia – Government.

This Independent local news source greatly aided my coverage for 16 Blocks POLITIC LOCAL. We were late to the show with the setting up our studio in the City which will be a second office for the magazine facilitating our recent expanded Roanoke coverage.
I followed and covered the recount in Town of Blacksburg Government last year, this is tighter than that one, with Liam Watson’s write-in victory by the narrowest of margins being contested as fraudulent in Montgomery County Courts over the next month.
While in the city of Roanoke The counting continues through the week with four-time Roanoke Mayor Bowers taking his 19 vote lead over Joe Cobb, Vice Mayor, into the ~1000 provisional and mail-in votes still to be counted.
Nearly 10,000 Roanokers cast a ballot for Stephanie Moon Reynolds, which will cause disdain for three party politics, and praise for an excellent showing.
The Mayor will be working with three newly elected City Council Members, as the race has been called for Terry McGuire (D), Phazhon Nash (D), and Nick Hagen (R).

We very much thank Vice Mayor and Councilman Joe Cobb and Councilwoman Stephanie Moon-Reynold for taking the time to speak with us. We reached out to Republican Candidate David Bowers but did not receive a response.
In good faith, we are new to Roanoke politics and these of the race interviews will hopefully be informative to UNDECIDED voters, and we advise those doing last minute research to look at the Roanoke Rambler [FREE with bonus content for subscribers] and the Roanoke Times [PAYWALL] and Cardinal News.
We also hope these interviews serve as a record of members of City Governance speaking at the beginning of a four-year term (2025-2029) on the place they choose not only to spend their lives, but also take a leadership role in an effort to guide smart growth.
